  11. If you've used an Amiga for any amount of time, and used DOS machines
  12. or Macs as well, you'd understand WHY they're stubborn and loyal.

  14. As far as AW goes, it was the *ONLY* Amiga-specific magazine to
  15. spew from one of the major, big-name publishing corporations. Just as
  16. Amiga WordPerfect was the *ONLY* mainstream Amiga software to come from
  17. one of the major, big-name software houses.  The Amiga NEEDS these
  18. kinds of things, whether or not you like the products, they gave 
  19. much legitimacy to the Amiga, raising it up above the level of
  20. some kind of hobbyist's widget that got no respect from mass media
  21. or mass consumerism.

  23. I thought then and I still think now that IDG's stupid decision to
  24. kill off AW was very premature.  But they did it. And because they
  25. did it, I personally, will not buy nor recommend any of their other
  26. products to anyone who cares to listen to me.
